Congratulations to M.S. candidates in Social Computing Lab. They successfully defended their master theses on December 10th and 11th. Eunyoung, Kanghak, Taeksoo, and Donggi are supervised by Dr. Steve Han, and Yoonji and Jumin are supervised by Dr. Jung-hee Ryu. Topics of their theses are described as below,

On Nov. 10, 2009, Prof. Steve Han became a member of KIGA (Korea Internet Governance Association). There are three forums under KIGA and Prof. Han will work for the Internet Business Forum.

Paul Resnick Visited KAIST

Paul Resnick, a professor of University of Michigan, visited KAIST to give a seminar.
The topics were Recommending software modules, Balanced news aggregators, Manipulation resistant recommenders, Politics in non-political spaces, and Social applications for wellness.

소셜 컴퓨팅 랩 2008년 졸업생 이상원 씨가 Naver Collaborative Ideation Award에서 수상하였습니다.
주제는 윙버스/윙버스 서울맛집 서비스의 참여형 Ideation으로, Collaborative Filtering을 도입한 맛집 추천 아이디어를 제안하여 Best Idea 상을 받았습니다.
이상원씨는 지난 공모에서 우수 아이디어상을 수상한데 이어, 이번에 최고상을 수상하는 영예를 안게 되었습니다.

KAIST 문화기술대학원 Social Computing Lab의 웹사이트가 새롭게 열렸습니다.
한상기 교수님이 이끄는 Social Computing 연구팀과 류중희 교수님이 이끄는 Human-Centered Computing Group이 크게 두 연구 그룹이고, 겸직 교수인 허진호 박사님, 런던 대학의 이수희 교수님과 함께 Lab 소식 및 연구 성과와 유용한 정보를 이 웹사이트를 통해 공유할 것입니다.
