Abstract | Collaborative tagging provides exceptional performance in the domains of IF (Information Filtering) and IR (Information Retrieval). Based on various studies regarding the tagging behavior of users, it can be concluded that there is potential for expansion of this domain to the area of ratings. The paper presents Qtag, a qualitative tagging system that allows users to tag in order to rate and express opinions in more sharable vocabulary. A conceptual model and evaluation are presented.
